BATH BODY Maker 1 | Part-time
Making Bath Body Products & LYE Soap, Including packaging and labeling. This is an active and physically demanding job. Must be able to lift and move 50 or more lbs. Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time without sitting. MUST have Experience making Lye Soap
Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Making Lye Soap, working with caustic ingredients with safety gear on
- Measuring, weighing ingredients
- Inventory Management
- Following daily inventory procedures
- Cutting and storing soap
- General Shop Upkeep, setting up/breaking down before/after product making
- Sweeping, Washing dishes, Cleaning and organizing, Taking out trash
- Helping Teacher get set up for class
Maker Responsibilities:
- Protecting the assets of our company by keeping ingredient information, methodology and formulary information confidential; complying with laws and regulations; engaging in ethical business practices. Must sign non-compete agreement
- Assisting in Maintaining accurate and complete records and report findings in the form of standard operating procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following standards of organization; proper sanitation of equipment and surroundings
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and convert units of measurement
- MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 LBS or more. MUST BE ABLE TO HELP MOVE DRUMS OF OIL
- MUST BE ABLE TO STAND ON FEET for at least 6-8 Hours
The ideal candidate should have:
- Soapmaking or kitchen/restaurant/bakery experience
- Experience keeping an extremely clean and organized workspace
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for natural body products
- Excellent attention to detail
